Electrical data and DMU models are created in distinct departments using different tools.

So it is highly recommendable to check consistency of these data using H_CHECK before combining them to generate the harness model.

User defines a profile by selecting checks from a tool box. The selected checks produce reports which allow user to cause necessary amendments in input data.
That is not only recommendable at initial state. Cabling is object of continuous changes. The greater part of these changes will be caused by electric changes but changes in wire paths may also happen due to new model variants or new requirements.
Changes occur unsynchronized. When a new cabling version is implemented all affected documents have to be updated. Managing these changes causes significant effort. Here again H_CHECK can contribute to detect differences in maturity and guarantee consistency of data model throughout life circle of harness.

If preview on harness model does not show any problems wire paths can be calculated using H_ROUTE. The excellent performance of the used routing algorithm which routes wire path for 1600 wires in less than a minute.
After routing is done wire paths, segment context and segment diameter are calculated. Again the usage of H_CHECK is recommended to detect problems. This might be that it turns out that the expected diameter of a bundle segment exceeds the diameter or that a discontinuity is found in a wire path. Even problems with electromagnetic compatibility can be detected.
